Laboratory abstract

The Laboratory of Elementi Visivi del Progetto is a theoretical/planning path for approaching Interior Design. The main objective is to manage the different components involved in an interior project to translate their idea of space. To get to the planning phase the students are accompanied to face a didactic path in which the theoretical lessons are flanked by the design of an environment and its visual story (graphic, photographic and audiovisual). The themes dealt with concern the perceptive, formal and functional characteristics of space, the expressive and movement qualities of the bodies that inhabit it and the two-dimensional/three-dimensional representation of an interior.

The theme of the course is COSMOGONIE. The goal of the projects is to tell the hidden secrets of our planet and the universe. The topic is not treated in a scientific sense, but rather from an experiential point of view. In particular, through the analysis of vertigo in relation to an immense space, the sensations related to being hundreds of kilometers underground or under water, or floating among the most remote galaxies, have been deepened. The theme was inspired by the physical and intellectual knowledge of a 5 years old child. The choice of children as inspirers of cosmogonies has been suggested for their natural predisposition to the understanding of the environment through the body, for the attraction towards risk, and for their particular dimensional and dimensioning qualities.

FORGOTTEN NATURE Nature is in ruins and we are all witnesses to it. The last putrid fragments of an extinct universe hide from us, taking refuge in the meanders of the world or in myths and legends. “Forgotten Nature” aims to represent the return of some of these myths, the World Turtle and the Midgardsorm through the mists of time and the debris of history, until they emerge in the sunlight.
