Laboratory abstract

Sensoriality, perceptive experiences, the potential of visual thinking are the main threads of the laboratory. Through phases with analysis / study processes and design and communication synthesis phases, the participants experimented with operational tools and visual thinking techniques for interior design. They learned how to communicate and share experiences, research, acquired knowledge and ideas to start a project path. Objectives: 1. Learn to "disassemble" and "interpret" visited spaces (shapes, colors, materials and narrative potential); 2. Construction of a repertoire of knowledge that allows participants to identify seminal and personal expressive forms and to carry out a communication project.

Proposal for a temporary installation at the Armani Silos in Milan, designed to highlight how the sense of sight informs and modifies the perception of space. Perception is a primitive and immediate fact, it is the result of the internal dynamics of the forces that are created between the different parts of a stimulus. In this project the harmonic juxtapositions between straight and curved lines, the chromatic balance and the material effects, such as those given by the central lights projected on the cement of the external walls, create an immersive environment with plays of light and shadows and perceptive contrasts. Along the way the changing light, the different heights of the walls, the contrast between the materials continually change the perception of the volumes, the depth and the shapes of the surrounding environment.
