Laboratory abstract

Sensoriality, perceptive experiences, the potential of visual thinking are the main threads of the laboratory. Through phases with analysis / study processes and design and communication synthesis phases, the participants experimented with operational tools and visual thinking techniques for interior design. They learned how to communicate and share experiences, research, acquired knowledge and ideas to start a project path. Objectives: 1. Learn to "disassemble" and "interpret" visited spaces (shapes, colors, materials and narrative potential); 2. Construction of a repertoire of knowledge that allows participants to identify seminal and personal expressive forms and to carry out a communication project.

From the graphic sign to express the concept of balance to the three-dimensional installation. A multi-level construction, a transparent cylinder half immersed in the sea interspersed with sensory platforms. Various solutions have been imagined to return different sensations. For example, a perforated and transparent tubular that contains dead branches produces, with the entry of the air, a relaxing sound that transmits a feeling of tranquility inside the structure; two opposite funnels connected by a joint allow the rain to flow onto the walls of the building, creating a waterfall and a sense of relaxation and well-being; four platforms with different bottoms to walk on (pebbles and algae, shells, sand, grass, stones) to stimulate the senses. All around transparent walls that let the gaze wander.
