Students are asked to create a sketchbook, called Morgantina, to be used as a tool for collect research experiences, and annotate all the details that have cultural and visual relevance. The Morgantina is made up of drawings, texts, collages and photographs that, all together, integrate each other, creating new and unpredictable associations. It’s not only an analogical database, where is possible to collect materials, but also an archive, in which pick up some design ideas. So the sketches talked about the activities carried out during the course and they also became a linking element of the different teaching part, the fil rouge of the studio, in order to teach students how to represent a project through drawings that could describe the environment and, at the same time, could tell and convey the emotions generated by the interior.
