Laboratory abstract

The aim of the workshop is to consider the value of interior design in relation to new sceneries, dialogues and interactions among the inhabitants, the city and its cultural and commercial spaces. Students designed a new vision for the fashion brand GIADA’s Concept Store, conceiving spaces dedicated to cultural and commercial storytelling, with a view to a multimodal approach to the project dealing with both the physical and the digital issue and exploring the contemporary relationship between interiors, the threshold and the city.

Giada, a contemporary nymph aware of environmental issues. The project is based on three fundamental concepts: water. its metamorphosis and the idea of a nymph. The water, in fact, through its state passes unravels its characteristics of strength, fluidity and purity in line with the values of the brand. The attention of the user is already captured from the outside, from the contact with the city: the shop windows are hidden and revealed in a continuous game of steam, fog and shadows able to attract and intrigue. Inside, an immersive atmosphere involves the observer on the theme of sustainability, femininity and elegance of the clothes on display.
