Modelling for interior design is intended as a cognitive and three-dimensional verification tool for spaces. In order to build the models of houses and furnishings on a reduced scale, small preparatory exercises are performed in order to get to know the basic materials: paper and cardboard, polyplat, wood and derivatives, etc. A series of assignments are requested to let pupils familiar with tools and conventions for representation: how to cut and paste in a accurated way rather than chromatic conventions for the dissected areas, passing then to title block of the model. The final objective is to educate students in modeling so that they can independently perform study and presentation models in didactic coordination with the Laboratory’s design modules and with the interior representation drawings.
