The project deals with the renovation of a student residence through the creation of different types of accommodation. The environment is separated into two spaces: the sleeping area, consisting of a staggered bunk bed to accommodate a small desk, and a “wall-bookcase”. The living area is characterized by an equipped wall that, against the wall, doubles its thickness, thus obtaining two niches near the windows. To allow users to interact with their own room, shelves have been designed that, if extracted, can become stools. The same principle was applied to the tables, which can be built-in or moved freely, so as to adapt the room to the different needs of the guests. In the room there are only two materials, the plaster and the wood that covers the floor and the niche hole. The only element of color is the gray-blue present on two sides of the space. The general lighting is a LED strip, while a floor lamp follows the movements of the furnishings offering a punctual light.
