The space, designed for digital craftsmen, offers areas for work, the development of ideas and education both for guests and residents of the neighborhood. It is characterized by the theme of play, a fundamental pillar of Munari’s philosophy, which inspires the project. The environment is structured like a story. Entering an ideal cloud of fog, one arrives in a room to be discovered, also through interactive digital material: hatches and doors conceal traditional materials (wood, marble, brick…), while the false ceiling is made of beds. We continue into the room where ideas take shape and are collected on different supports: from rolls of paper to a digital screen. In the laboratory, then, the realization of ideas is possible thanks to 3D printers and laser cutters. Also the kitchen and the bathroom are designed to stimulate creativity, respectively with a modular and mobile pantry for recipes and a stone wall to read and see one’s favorite stories.
