The project starts from P di Pigna, a new line of the Pigna brand created in 2020 to renew itself and to get even closer to Italian people, from the old ones to children. The peculiarity of the brand is in fact its deliberate Italian character, dictated by the tradition of made in Italy. Starting from these assumptions, we have developed an accommodation that reflects the values of the brand, adapting to the typical target of a clientele that chooses pine cone as a brand of notebooks. Our guests fall within the scope of writing, and for that reason that we value the idea of “Making mistakes without erasing, because even mistakes are life”, a way to communicate to our users the value of experience, which also starts from the mistakes made during the journey. Starting from Casa Base in Milan, we redesigned the entire structure, designing five different types of rooms and combining the designated spaces with a common area for all guests. We chose to combine the rooms with the five types of products that P di Pigna has on the market, namely the various styles of the pigna notebooks: Bold, Regular, Light, Italic and YourSing, reminding the zodiac signs. The common areas are used as relaxation and study areas, while the reception is at the entrance with the function of welcoming and accompanying guests throughout their stay. Finally, the corridor, which connects the reception to the rooms, is a space designed to stimulate guests’ creativity. One of the walls is in fact covered with slate panels and everyone can use chalks to write or draw on its entire surface.
