Traum (a) is a temporary project designed to reuse the area of the former mental hospital in Mombello (Limbiate), in view of its future renovation and the opening of a rehabilitation center for drug addicts. The building involved is the former asylum laundry, with a joined green area, of which from the past only the skeleton of a palm tree and a rusty gate have left. Traum (a) aims to create a cultural center that attracts all the inhabitants of the area, with activities dedicated to young people, to the elderly and to children as well as a permanent art exhibition that brings visitors to retrace the spaces of this forgotten place. The structure was designed to host workshops that introduce participants to art, sculpture and the creation of do-it-yourself furniture, evening events such as concerts and film showings, vintage markets and conferences.
